Kuhnke Solenoid RM32 Combination Push or Pull Type 8mm Stroke.
RM32 type combination solenoids come equipped with an M4 threaded rod at either end of the solenoid offering push (thrust) and pull functionality depending upon how the coupled mass is connected. The solenoid shaft is not removable from the casing. A clamping flange on the pull side and M3 threaded holes either side of the solenoid are provided to assist mounting the device. The heavy-duty RM32 solenoid is part of our preferred type solenoid range, available for quick delivery and competitively priced.
Standard voltage is 24V DC; other voltages are available on request. RM32 type combination solenoids offer an 8mm stroke at an initial force of ~2.8 N; the end force ~6.5 N. Actuation time without loading is ~29 ms. Combination type solenoids with a return spring offer an initial force of ~1.3 N with an end force of ~3.5 N due to opposing spring force characteristics. The nominal power consumption is 6.5 W. All calculations based on 90% rated voltage, a permanent duty cycle of 100% and a standard ambient temperature of 35°C. Connection flying leads are 10cm in length.
Most solenoids come with a 100% duty cycle as standard, this is ideal for most applications, however, if you require an increased force for shorter periods of time, then other duty cycles can be selected to accommodate your specific requirement.
