AL Locking Solenoid - Bistable Design.
Simple electrical control - lock and unlock status is performed by reversing the coil polarity of the device. The bi-stable solenoid in an unlocked state, the door can be opened and closed easily without it automatically locking. The door closed micro switch detects the door is shut and outputs a signal.
By reversing the polarity of the solenoid coil, the device is primed for locking. The door will lock on its next consecutive close. A second micro switch detects the door is locked and outputs a signal that can be wired directly to an LED showing a locked status or can be used to signal a PLC or other devices. When both micro switches output a signal, the door is fully secure.
The lock mechanism can be released by momentarily energising the internal solenoid for 100ms or by pulling forward the emergency lever sited on the underside of the device. Mount the door locking solenoid to a flat surface using the 6mm diameter through body holes or use the M5 female front face threads to secure the locking device.
Standard operating voltage is 24V DC, other voltages or low powered battery versions are also available subject to minimum order quantities. Nominal power consumption is 31 W, protection class IP44 with operating temperatures up to 80°C. The fast switching mechanism offers a superior service life with over 100,000 switching cycles.
