ATEX Digital Pneumatic Timer Seconds or Minutes Timing 3 or 5 Digit Display.
Pneumatic digital timers, unlike other pneumatic timers, retain their last count value upon loss of air; this is particularly useful for machine servicing, for example, the periodic changing of filters, lubrication of components, changing of tooling, or the cleaning of equipment to ensure optimum machine performance.
Digital pneumatic timers can stop a machine from operating until a timed service has taken place. 'Hand-arm vibration at work' laws, to prevent or protect where harm may otherwise incur by the overuse of pneumatic vibrating equipment. Timers are used to avoid the overuse of vibrating tools are also good examples of pneumatic digital timer use.
Upon application of compressed air, pneumatic pulses (seconds or minutes) are generated and registered on a two-line display of either 3 or 5 digits, the upper row of figures displays elapsed time while the lower row shows the pre-set time. Upon reaching the pre-set time, the closed internal valve opens, and a pneumatic output signal is given (Standard version only). A pneumatic pulse to port Y reset the timer.
There are two models within the pneumatic digital timer range (Automatic Reset) which offer a pulsed output signal duration of 300 – 340 milliseconds upon timeout, they automatically reset after an output signal and continue to time while air is connected, there is no pneumatic reset port for this version.
