Pneumatic Oscillating Valve Pneumatically Controlled.
Pneumatic oscillator valves are designed to provide a continuous switched output function.
Here we show an air pilot controlled oscillator valve, the 5/2 way valve will continuously oscillate (alternating ports 2 and 4) whilst a pneumatic signal is applied to the control port. Interruption of power to the pneumatic control port stops the process.
Speed is dependent upon the connected volume and line pressure which can be controlled with the addition of flow control valves. Typical speed is 16 cycles per minute at 2.5 bar.
Oscillator valves can be used to oscillate a double acting cylinder, applications include mixing, stirring or sawing devices where time critical cycling is not required.
